Galiano Sketch #2

where scrub oak
& campion &
moss of ever-green
tumble down
the bluff
where porous rocks
flaunt their skins
to the sun
surfs rise & fall
to the pull
of moon & gravity,
objects
suspended
in odd-shaped spaces
where sun & shadow
meet
rowdy boys, chorus
in the hollow waves
that crash through
crevices of scarred rock–
worn phallus
soft bellies of petrified sponge
gnawed bone shards &
water
washing
all away, smoothing
down
traces
of
time.
